After studying I came from Germany to the UK and by chance went to a pottery evening class in Bristol. I really liked the many options of what to do with a formless lump of clay and continued… whenever I have time.
I hand build using slabs, coils or pinch the clay into shapes, paint it with slips, texture it by scratching, carving or stamping.
I make a wide variety of objects from dangling bird chimes, mirrors, tiles to planters and vases.
Quite often the things I make are inspired by family, childhood memories, plants and their patterns or found objects which I incorporate or use. Every piece is unique and there is always another variation waiting to happen.
