I have been weaving in silk since 1977. I love silk for its softness and shine. It takes the dyes extremely well so that I can get subtle colours grading into others. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. My silk scarves are hand washable and should last a lifetime. I know people who have inherited shawls from their mothers – makes me feel really old!
Except for the occasional show, I only sell the scarves from my studio or website now.
